Palmyra

Our second stop on our Spring Break trip was to Palmyra New York.  This is where Joseph Smith prayed and saw God the Father and Jesus Christ His son. He also was lead to the gold plates that he translated into the Book of Mormon which was also published in this city.

This is where the first copies of the Book of Mormon were printed. There were some great stories of miracles that happened so that this could be possible including the arrival of a state of the art printing press that wouldn't have otherwise been there if there if circumstances hadn't been just right.  Joseph was in this area for a reason.

The home Joseph Smith and his family lived in in Palmyra New York. There were 11 people living in this tiny space. It humbled me and made me realize how much we have today.
